Heavy vs. Light Heart

Fancy the situation. A man is cheating on his wife with another woman. He knows that he's doing wrong, that lying to your wife is outrageously wrong, that he is a jerk (sometimes he realizes it!) but he just can't stop. What are his feelings at these instants? First and foremost, this man who lies to his wife feels that his heart is immensely heavy – as if a huge stone is tied to it.

Heavy heart is very often accompanied by unpleasant physical reactions of a person let alone huge emotional heaviness. This physical hard feelings manifest themselves in continuous stress which often leads to depressions and sleep disorders, abdominal cramps and constipation. Sometimes such dreadful outcome as erectile dysfunction is possible as well. Of course, the example is not perfect and depends on the level of a cheating man's decency and ability to actually be ashamed of what he's doing; however, we are sure you got a bright idea on what a heavy heart means.

Another situation implies the case when you pass all the necessary examinations at the university, for example. They seemed so hard and so endless that you can't believe everything has suddenly ended – moreover, everything ended quite successfully for you! It's understandable that things you are feeling at that moment are indescribable. They are all about your light heart which allows you forget about school for some time and get involved in much more entertaining activities.

What’s New

Why would anyone eat his/her heart out? Is it some kind of inhuman entertainment or maybe there’s more to this expression than meets the eye? Why shy men never win fair ladies’ hearts while clowns win everybody’s hearts in an easiest way?

We must learn how to take heart instead of losing it in especially important situations. This makes us stronger plus helps us achieve worthy things when walking along the roads of our lives.
